Trey was able to call yesterday and sounded in good spirits! He said the chow hall was 'awesome' and the gym was 'sweet'. He seems enamored with the landscape - it is lush and exotic. They are still getting settled and he has not yet received any of his mail.
I am passing along some websites that have been suggested for us to use:
*For info on what is happening at the base (CA) http://www.mccs29palms.com/
*For MOTOMAIL www.motomail.us
*A great family support website is www.marineparents.com (please follow OPSEC rules). Click on the link above then click on Marine parents, 1st Mar Division, 7th Regiment, 1/7.
For mailing packages, make sure you get a flat rate box from the post office and a customs form. You will need an itemized list of the contents of the box. Do not pay for package insurance. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for packages to arrive.
Please keep writing and praying.

I am so glad you got to hear from Trey. I love your pictures on here.
ReplyDeleteHi Trey!
ReplyDeleteWe have not met, but I am your grandfather's cousin, Joan Ghirardini Satter, who also grew up in Winchester. I just connected with your Mom and Aunt Kathy on Face Book. I think this blog is a great idea. Love the pictures! You are just as handsome as your grandfather! :-) Good luck over there and thank you for your unselfish service. You are making the world a better place. I will be praying for your safe return. Be well.
