Trey called this morning (6:30 our time!). He sounded in good spirits, but tired. They still haven't had the down time he thought they would have - and whenever they have had a little time off, he sleeps. He said he was looking forward to a few days off, just sleeping and working out in the gym.
The seasons are finally changing. It is springtime (for the most part). He says the sandstorms are frequent and horrendous, and that it never fails to rain after one....so it rains mud.
He is going to send some pictures soon. I will post them here so stay tuned!
Please, please keep sending your letters, packages, and prayers. He looks forward to them every day!!
Thanks to you all...
Nancy
P.S. It looks like homecoming will be August or September!
Hello Trey,
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to hear updates from you. We are thinking of you all the time.
We are about to go back to cold New England. Our winter as snowbirds are a great relief for someone with arthritis. So now we hope there are not too many tornadoes on the way home.
We went on a kayak journey through the mangroves of the ten thousand Islands in Naples. We were so lost. It is much like a corn maze. I'm not sure you have those in Georgia. But we did find our way out and once we were in the bay were escorted by three dolphins to our beach for lunch. What a thrill.
We are off to church where we will formally send our prayers for you safe and speedy return. Our daily prayers are with you always.
Stay Safe, God Speed
Our Love
Uncle Digger and Aunt Nancy
